 Welcome

Dear Sydney. We love you.

Sure, Paris has its charms; New York sweeps you away and London leaves you without a moment to think - yada yada yada. But how can Paris, and any global locale for that matter, compete with the climate, laid-back people and al fresco lifestyle we are fortunate to live in Sydney?

Back in the hood after my Europe fashion week tour, and undoubtedly excited about the growth of Miro House Paris, I’m revelling in the simplicity of life on home turf. It’s a conversation on the run with many of the locals I’ve come to call friends, coffee at my favourite café, a swim at my neighbourhood beach and the smell of the ocean. These things inspire me and keep me fired whether I’m on the run around town, or running around someone else’s town. And there’s more that makes coming home a pleasure. What are your favourite reasons for coming home?

Miro House

Celebrating 15 years of Australian fashion, the Roesmount Sydney Fashion Festival turned out its best heels @ Sydney’s landmark Town Hall. Capacity crowds jostled for position at the prima Marie Claire Gala Opening – the magazine blowing out the candles on its own birthday cake after 15 years in the business. The Festival’s well oiled machine purred quietly as Miro House joined ranks with its polished front of house team, 220 volunteers and a seating plan that left VIP’s so happy they almost smiled. And happy we were, too. A great team meant a very smooth ride. Thanks to all. View Gallery here

August 4- City bicycle hub and moonlighting venue, Sable & Argent on Bourke Street, Sydney hosted this year’s Fashion Targets Breast Cancer. In the spirit of giving Miro House donated its services to the cause, welcoming guests to the monochrome collection and a sophisticated bar decked out by our friends at Kit & Kaboodle.

This year we are proud to join the awesome Fuzzy crew for their national tour of music festival, Parklife. Our volunteers stepped out in Adelaide and Brisbane and kept the house rocking for thousands of punters. Not such a bad job being a volunteer, is it?

Miro Agency

Over at Agency a busy month has seen us fly between Melbourne and Sydney.

August 11- Melbourne fashion boutique Willow became the setting for an art exhibition by renowned Australian architectural photographer, John Gollings. Titled Burnt Landscape, the moving photography showcases the devastation of the Victorian Bushfires. There to welcome guests were our front of house team.

August 19- It’s birthday season and never one to be a wallflower, Grazia Magazine celebrated their terrible 2’s with a big shopping night out at the crème of Sydney’s shopping scene in Paddington. Stores welcomed shoppers in a late-night jaunt, while pampered VIP’s toasted the magazine at a private party at Jackie’s Café on Glenmore Rd, complimented by our own front of house team. Discounts to major designers including Josh Goot made for an evening of red hot purchasing.

September 9- Throngs of fervent shoppers advanced on the many stores opened for the official launch of Vogue Fashion’s Night Out Sydney. You’d be excused for thinking the global financial crisis was a complete hoax and that Sydney-siders were playing along with pretend holes in their pockets by the way cash registers chimed. Bally, David Jones, Chanel and Tiffany & Co. joined the best of our local designers and models to mark the occasion. Our very own Gregor took pride of place next to Vogue Editor in Chief, Kirstie Clements as her private escort for the night.

Red Carpet

Got the crowd but not the place? Beat a track here to curtain call your own private party at The Argyle. Remember to keep checking back as the new website will be launching soon.

The chic new facelift at The Argyle was unveiled in grand fashion on September 30th at its destination nestled in The Rocks precinct of Sydney. The Argyle pulled out all the stops for the 1200 strong crowd gleaned from our prized little black book with the likes of Natalie Imbruglia, Nacho Pop and Maude Garrett coming to celebrate.

Divided on the night by sweeping drapes into six separate parties, guests were directed to their own specific area themed with it’s own décor and party vibe.

The courtyard recreated the perfect summer Sunday session with acoustic beats from La Fiesta and projections of summer splashed across the walls. The Argyle Bar showcased the extensive new wine list with The Argyle’s Wine Consultant, Alex Retief on hand for a chat. VIPs were wowed with the delicious tones of Kyla Sexton in the ultra chic, Belvedere Bar whilst guests in the Reibey Room enjoyed cocktails over the sultry rhythm of a jazz trio.

Roving singers and performers peppered the individual parties with spice and intrigue throughout the evening until the drapes later came down to meld party goers together with surprise special guests, Groove Armada.

There is something for everyone at The Argyle – an intimate drink with friends, a private party, a spectacular dinner or perhaps just enjoying the sounds of their local and international DJs or live music. Following the success of the evening, it is fair to say that The Argyle has reaffirmed its position in the competitive Sydney bar scene and will continue to wow clientele with its unique blended experience. Luxurious, sexy, intimate and sparkling - the new look Argyle truly rocks!

We received fantastic feedback on the guys and gals who made up our front of house team and are pleased to report another extremely smooth event.
